How does solar work?
Sunlight (DC Electricity) gets absorbed by the panels and gets sent to the inverter. The inverter converts the DC electricity into AC electricity which is much safer to use for your home. The new AC electricity gets sent around your home and any excess that you do not use you get paid for by sending it back into the grid.
Why should I install solar?

Can a solar system work during cloudy days?
While solar panels are most effective in direct sunlight they still generate electricity on cloudy days although not to the same output during peak sunny days.
